Claudia Ortiz-Chao is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, UNAM, with more than 15 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of teaching-learning, research and urban consultancy projects. At UNAM she teaches a number of courses on topics such as urban regeneration and design, mobility, built environment research and analysis tools, sustainability and well-being, and the relationship between architecture and its contexts at different scales. She also coordinates UNAM interdisciplinary workgroup on smart cities within the Union of Iberoamerican Universities (UIU), where they collaborate with the Universities of Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Complutense de Madrid and Sao Paulo, and is part of the Architecture + Design and Experimental Technology Laboratory (LATE). She is part of UNAM’s Interdisciplinary Seminar on Citizen Security (SUISC) Advisory Committee. She holds a degree in Architecture (Hons) by FA, UNAM, and a Master in Sciences by the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies, UCL. She is also a PhD Candidate by the latter
